The interreligious Kindergarten
The concept of the kindergarten is based on the latest pedagogical surveys on „Whole Day Kindergarten“. A committee of Jewish, Christian and
Muslim mothers will be deciding, accompanying and safeguarding these steps in active co-operation with the educational staff of experienced teachers and social workers.
The kindergarten is admitting children from the age of three month up to six years
This accounts for handicapped children too; Bi-lingual education (Hebrew and Arab) is a natural and necessary assumption; Children of other religions are also to be accepted. It is planned to provide facilities to supervise homework of 6-10 year olds as well. Dealing daily with natural elements like water, stones and earth as well as with plants and animals in the garden will be an important part
in the education programme; Meals will be prepared daily and be made of fresh ingredients solely; The kindergarten as well as the whole place correspond to latest ecological criteria. The need for electrical energy will be partly be
satisfied by using solar cells. Plants will be watered by a system of gaining rain water and only natural building material like wood, clay and Jerusalem stone will be used.
The place itself was designed by Professor Dr. - Ing. G.Minke, an internationally well known expert for ecological construction, in co-operation with
